Industrologic, Inc., announces the release of their IC51 Single Board Computer.
The Industrologic IC51 is a microcontroller based single board computer designed to be a complete industrial controller assembly that is easy to program and connect to external signals. It includes a versatile complement of input and output circuitry needed by many common control applications.
The IC51 is based on the Atmel AT89C51 microcontroller chip with EEPROM program memory, and can be reprogrammed using any number of software development tools and device programmers available for Atmel microcontrollers. The board can be programmed as a standalone controller using its on-board Tiny Machine Basic programming language, or it can be used as an RS-232 serial data acquisition board.
Communication is accomplished via two serial RS-232 ports with true RS-232 drivers and DB9 connectors matching PC compatible serial port pinouts.
The IC51 includes a real-time clock/calendar chip with on-board battery backup, along with registers that are integrated into the variables of the Tiny Machine Basic language.
Convenient screw terminal block connections are used for all of the digital, analog, and relay connections, which include eight 10 amp Form "C" relays, eight logic levels signals usable as inputs or outputs, eight digital outputs, and eight 12-bit analog to digital inputs. Its on-board power supply has a wide input range and includes +5 and +12 volt outputs at the screw terminals for use by external devices.
The IC51 contains LCD support circuitry that interfaces to a 16 pin .1" header connector matching most LCD module connections, and even contains an on-board contrast pot for the LCD module. Included in the Tiny Machine Basic language are LCD commands that make it easy to display information on an LCD module.
The IC51 is available as a complete circuit board assembly, and can be enclosed in an optional ABS plastic enclosure.
The IC51 package is shipped complete with all items necessary to immediately begin application development, including a serial port cable for connection to a PC compatible computer, a wall block power supply, host computer software and programming examples, and hardware and software reference manuals.
